Discipline and Dismissal in-a-box
Discipline & Dismissal in-a-box is an interactive training and on-going reference to help employers deal with discipline and dismissal matters in the workplace. Discipline & Dismissal in-a-box includes over an hour of video presentation and commentary on the key areas surrounding disciplinary procedures and unfair dismissal, as well as role plays and example documentation.

The Box Contains:

  • An explanation of why disciplinary procedures are important (and needed)
  • Role plays - demonstrating how meetings can be conducted
  • A clear menu system - so you can view any section easily (as an ongoing reference)
  • Documentation - template letters, case law, an example procedure, codes of practice and further guidance notes
  • A full explanation (in plain English) of the law surrounding discipline and dismissal.

Why Do You Need This?
On 1 st October 2004, The Employment Act 2002 (Internal Dispute Resolution) Regulations 2004 introduced new disciplinary and grievance procedures. These procedures must be followed whenever you are considering taking any action which might result in a member of your staff losing their job. This includes not only disciplinary action itself, but also redundancy, early retirement and even termination of a fixed term contract. If the correct procedure is not followed and the parties end up at tribunal, the procedural failure can have a significant effect upon any award of compensation. It can be increased by up to 50% if the failure is judged to be the employer's fault and reduced by up to the same amount if the tribunal feels the failure was due to the employee. So it's important to get it right!

Price: £199 +VAT (£233.83 Inc. VAT)
