	6th November 2007 – New Recycling Regulations from 30th October 2007:
	As of last Tuesday, 30th October, all businesses are under a duty to “pre-treat” their rubbish before sending it to landfill. The so-called “Producer Pre-treatment Regulations) are part of the Landfill (England and Wales) Regulations 2002, which bring the EU Landfill Directive into UK law. The same duties already applied in Scotland. See our blog for more details.

	7th September 2007 – Book Launch:
	On 7 th September, we held an event at our offices to launch “Is the DDA Working for You? – A Practical Guide to the Disability discrimination Acts and Employment” by Sherie Griffiths. We had a great response to the invitation – and if everyone who hoped to come had made it, we would have taken over the corridor! As it was, the room was filled to capacity. People came from all over the country. We ran a competition on the day. We asked people to design an “inequality mark”, for those organisations which miss the point of the DDA.
